It's been quite some time since last update. I could blame covid like everyone does or work, but actually Diablo 2 Resurrected happened. Damn it feels like it was yesterday...
Truth be told, i was a bit stuck on the AvP project. Feeling the taste of completing, but also bored by this massive batch painting. However, another milestone is reached today, almost the last one.

La dernière publi commence à remonter pas mal. Je pourrai accuser le covid comme tout le monde ou le taf, mais le vrai coupable s'appelle Diablo 2 Resurrected. C'est vraiment super cool...
En vrai, j'étais un peu coincé sur ce projet AvP. J'en vois le bout, mais en même temps cette peinture à la chaine massive commence à me saouler un peu, il est temps que ça se termine. Un nouveau jalon est cependant atteint aujourd'hui, presque le dernier.
Today's treats are two peculiar creatures of the hive. The Predalien, aka the abomination, or simply put the result of Predator facehugging, was probably in its time some kind of geekgasm material. First appeared in comic books, it (in)famously made its way to several movies and videogames you've probably shamefully played and watched if you're still reading this, it still made quite a cool piece for any game.
Aujourd'hui voit donc l'arrivée de deux créatures particulières de la ruche. Le Predalien, dit aussi abomination, ou plus simplement le résultat de l'insémination d'un Predator par un Facehugger, a surement été en son temps une sorte d'orgasme geek suprême. Apparu initialement dans un comic book il me semble puis dans divers jeux vidéos et films que vous avez surement regardé en cachette si vous lisez encore ce post (parce que bon, c'était moisi quand même), ça fait une pièce de jeu assez cool quand même.
But you know how it goes, you can always go further, sillier and bigger, especially with everything comic books. For very big needs, God gave men the Alien king, aka the monstrosity. A very big and meanie thing, obtained when a facehugger hugs... I don't know .. A very small creature that grows giant ?
Mais vous savez ce que c'est, on peut toujours faire plus gros et plus débile, particulièrement quand on est dans le domaine du comic book. Ainsi pour les très gros besoins, Dieu a créé le roi Alien, dit aussi monstruosité. Une très grosse méchante bête résultant de l'insémination par un facehugger d'un.. bah je sais pas ... Un petit truc qui devient gigantesque ?
It is really really big. The miniature looks pretty great, although the right arm pose is a bit weird and the tail hook a bit crude. The weirdest part is the big bubble without any details behind the neck. I seriously don't know what it is, but since it looked like some kind of big tumor and gamewise this big boy can spit massive amount of acid, i chose to make it very visible and yellowish to remind of the Spitters acid glands i also made. It also makes me think of some video game boss weak point.
C'est vraiment très très gros. La figurine est vraiment sympa, malgré un bras droit chelou et une pince en bout de queue un peu grossière. La partie la plus bizarre est l'espèce de grosse boule derrière le cou dénuée de détails. Je ne sais pas ce que c'est sensé être, j'ai donc choisi de la faire bien visible en jaunâtre vif pour rappeler les glandes d'acide des Cracheurs fait précédemment vu que cette bestiole peut vomir des quantité massive d'acide. Et puis ça fait un peu gros point faible façon boss de jeu vidéo.
So where to now ? Is it over ? We've reached the top of the xenomorph foodchain, but still no group shot. What could be missing to close this chapter?...
Alors c'est quoi la suite ? C'est fini ? L'ascension progressive de la chaine alimentaire xenomorphe semble achevée, mais pas de photo de groupe. Qu'est-ce qui peut bien manquer pour clotûrer ce chapitre ?...
